Summary/Abstract: The events of 2020 also affected Poland, i.e., the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic situation brought about many social consequences. The Catholic Church has also undertaken several activities and initiatives to respond to new challenges. This concerned, inter alia, proclaiming the gospel of salvation. The study outlines the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in Poland. The following sections discuss the relationship of the Church to electronic media and the most necessary forms of teaching and evangelization: preaching the word of God and preaching retreats using electronic communication, in their legal-canonical approach. Simultaneously, selected legal decisions and forms of teaching undertaken by bishops of the Catholic Church in Poland in response to the existing situation were presented and discussed. New online media proved helpful in preaching the word of God and in retreat teaching. In a pandemic situation, unable to evangelize traditionally in the temples, the Church did so using new media and their opportunities. These included transmitting the church liturgy via radio, television, the Internet, or taking advantage of the message brought via various internet portals and in social networks.
