Summary/Abstract: In the presented paper it is aimed to reveal how different approach towards development measurement impacts on countries' ranking results. Development of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia is being estimated by using three multi-criteria methods, each of which is independently applied to chosen system of indicators with differently modeled significances of comprising components. Authors' overview of considered countries development during 2000–2006 year period is being performed in the following way: they juxtapose respectively computed complex indicators' trends and GDP growth, rank the Baltic countries according to their level of development, and compare them to the European Union countries. Obtained results allowed to indicate how much specific multi-criteria method and its application premises impact on evaluation of concrete country and in what cases countries' ranking depends on evaluation technology the most. As a result, some practicalities of multicriteria methods application have been elaborated and impact of their use on economic analysis disclosed.
