Summary/Abstract: The Christology of Dionysius the Areopagite, stays under the dogmatics formula of Chalcedon Council in 451. In this formula Leon the pope of Rome, had a huge contribution with his letter sended to Flavian, the patriarch of Constantinopole, document well known as the Tome of Leon. Written in latine language, this document pointed out the two natures and wills of our Lord Jesus Christ, the divinity and the humanity unified into the same Person or Hypostasis. But Leon was helped by his friend, John Cassian (from Dobrogea, a region in Romania) which already had accomplished “De Incarnattionis Domini”, a Christological Tratat written in Rome arround 420. Thus the Christology of Dionysius the Areopagite is under the influence of the christology of John Cassian.
