Summary/Abstract: In the present research, we start from eight expressions whose use has been analyzed in order to observe, on the one hand, the semantic and lexical dimensions of said constructions and, on the other hand, the frequency of use of these, through a self-administered survey, electronically. Therefore, the present work covers two dimensions: the descriptive dimension and the empirical dimension, in which we have compared the results of the analysis with our previous description. Analyzed expressions: por si acaso (just in case), por si las moscas (just in case), puede besar a la novia (you can kiss the bride), qué cosa más rara (what a strange thing), qué cutre (how crappy), qué feo (how ugly), qué se le va a hacer (what are you going to do), qué loco (how crazy).
