Summary/Abstract: The process of teaching / learning French as a foreign language aims to develop oral and written comprehension and production skills. The literary text as a support for activities of any kind can be a solution for a methodological approach that should be considered, for a better appropriation of the language. Whatever the medium for a grammar activity, for a lexical exercise, or for an activity aimed at acquiring intercultural competence, the literary text must be included in the language class, because its exploitation could bring benefits to all participants. The purpose of this work is to analyze the extent to which the literary text is present in the French methods of the secondary cycle, 5th grade and -6th grade (in the Romanian system), and also to emphasize the importance of its presence in the FLE class and in the methods of French used in secondary schooling cycle.
