Summary/Abstract: Learners come into contact with French culture and civilization through the French language and they are taught in the classroom and the contexts in which grammar is considered serve as a link and facilitate foreign culture-learner interaction. The Complementary Volume of the CEFR takes up the idea of the action-oriented approach and makes it more specific in certain aspects; the language should serve communicative purposes and be learned for use in diverse communicative contexts and situations; therefore, students must perform adequate work tasks that prepare them for later being able to deal with concrete communication situations. We propose to identify, from the analysis of the text of the Complementary Volume of the CEFR, the precisions made concerning the development of linguistic skills, particularly with regard to grammar, in order to identify practical solutions capable of improving the didactic approach.
