Summary/Abstract: Child labour is one of the most important problems in the world of working life of developing countries. It is a complex problem caused by socio-economic problems. The Child labor problem has declined significantly in the world fallowing the ratification of the Worst Forms of Child Labor Convention No 182, banning the worst form of child labor, by the International Labor Organization in 1999. However, the health, economic, social, and humanitarian crisis caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic it has started to rise again. Today, around 160 million children, who have not yet completed their physical, social, and spiritual development, are working under terrifying conditions, not complying with the international standards. This study seeks to examine how and to what extent the COVID-19 Pandemic has affected on the child labor by arguing that working children are exposed to the “worst form of child labor” because of the COVID-19 and that a longer-term strategy, providing social protection for children and their families, must be advanced to eliminate the child labor.
