Summary/Abstract: The study on soul’s immortality aims to draw the attention of readers on an issue of great religious significance. Before addressing it, however, it must be ascertained whether the soul exists as distinct from the body. Based on the divine revelation, the Church asserts the independent existence of the soul. As the metaphysical truths of Christianity have often been disputed and challenged by experimental science, unsurprisingly this fact has also been challenged. Out os its sense of self-importance generated by success obtained through experiments, experimental science deemed itself qualified to offer its views on the existence of the soul, which it denied because the issue did not actually pertain to its area of expertise. The main aim of this study is, on the one hand, to edify those who hold wrong opinions, ignoring the doctrine of our Holy Church, opposing it and looking for arguments to contradict the teachings on salvation, and on the other hand to defend the truths and the holy traditions of the Church, and to strengthen the religious convictions of those believers who are vulnerable because of their insufficient knowledge, and to protect them from any misleading notions so that, in full awareness and strong faith, they should uphold the truths of the Church. This will enable the believers thus empowered to keep to the path of salvation and lead a life full of hope and peace of mind, anticipating and expecting the Kingdom promised by God – may we all be worthy of it.
