Summary/Abstract: In 1949 PR China started a space exploration program and managed to launch the first satellite in 1970. In the 21st century China continues to enhance its space industry in accordance with national needs, continuing to promote the peaceful use of space. The Chinese government finds that the space industry is an integral part of the state development strategy.
