Summary/Abstract: ´Michal Lacko's´ Center of Spirituality East – West keeps documents that show in detail the activities of the Jesuits in Košice after a 150-year hiatus. Their content has not yet been used and they bring completely new facts that are not included in the hitherto history of the Society of Jesus in Slovakia. They contain in part details on the activities of the Archdiocese of Košice, and also of the city during the interwar period. Historians have to date had no indication about the church's financial funds for the construction of a dormitory during the time of Bishop Fischer-Colbrie, nor about on which plots the new dormitory was planned. They also were not aware of the decision of the Košice Chapter and the daily life of the dormitory residents, in which life was not easy from a national perspective. The Jesuits of Košice did not enjoy the new boarding school for long and had to move to Spišská Nová Ves in 1938 due to the war.
