Summary/Abstract: A universal rehabilitation of Plato, good governance is a confession which imposes today to the political and philosophical discourse. Long considered the philosopher of the aristocracy and whose opposition to democracy is unconditional, Plato appears in recent years as the starting point for a new thinking. The demythologizing of his idealism, good governance as advancement of his aristocracy, and the reconciliation of politics and ethics, are given as the theoretical basis of this epistemological break with traditional convictions, of this return to the philosopher of ideas.
