Distance social work in the community – the challenge of the state of emergency

Summary/Abstract: The unfamiliar situation with the appearance of coronavirus pulled each of us out of our comfort zone. We need to preserve not only our physical, but also our mental health. We are exposed to daily stress and uncertainty, we often feel unprotected. Even more tangiblely, this is felt in people at a social disadvantage. It is they who need the social support provided in social services. The flexibility of social workers and the inclusion of alternative methods of supporting and staying in touch with consumers have helped at-risk groups to tackle the challenge.
