MIGRATION-RELATED ACTIVITY OF SMALL TOWNS IN DOLNOŚLĄSKIE VOIVODSHIP

Summary/Abstract: One of the most important characteristics of small towns is their diversified demographic situation. In the era of global changes in the natural movement, the most important determinant of population in towns is migratory movements which, depending on their location, may be of varying intensity. The aim of this study is to characterize the migration-related characteristics of small towns in the Lower Silesian Voivodship and to typify their migration activity on the basis of migration-related characteristics available in public statistics. The study focuses not only on the analysis of migration parameters related to small towns in the area under analysis, but also on their variability depending on the proximity to other urban centers.
