Study of the specifics of the residence of foreigners in the republic of Bulgaria with a view on the development of suitable migration and integration

Summary/Abstract: The knowledge of who and why chooses our country as a migration destination is key to the making of adequate migration and integration policies. The study of the profile of the contemporary immigrant offers many possibilities for the development of successful models for attracting qualified migrants, foreign investors and entrepreneurs, young and ambitious citizens of the world, the use of their potential for the prosperity of the various regions and the country as a whole and their inclusion into the development of our society. The tracing of the modern state of the migratory process, the established regulation mechanisms and the challenges faced by the arriving foreigners and the institutions of state, helps for the prediction and avoidance of future conflict situations. The presented analysis covers foreigners who have chosen to settle on the territory of Burgas Region and offers a possible view over the general process in the country.
