Summary/Abstract: One Belt One Road project, the biggest economic project of the 21st century, is very important for both the People's Republic of China and the participating countries. The new realities created in the world economy, especially in the South Caucasus, increase the importance of Azerbaijan's participation in the One Belt One Road project, which is on the historical Silk Road and at the crossroads of many transregional transportation and energy projects, and consequently affects the development of economic relations between the two countries. The main purpose of the study is to determine the impact of the One Belt One Road project on the economic relations between Azerbaijan and China. In the study, general information about the One Belt One Road project, the main transportation routes of the project and the importance of Azerbaijan in the One Belt One Road project are given. On the other hand, in the study, SWOT analysis of the One Belt One Road project was made, at the same time, Azerbaijan's expectations in this context and finally the current commercial relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic were comprehensively analyzed. The practical importance of the research is that it makes recommendations for the protection of the One Belt One Road project from certain threats and risks in the context of new geopolitical and geoeconomic realities in the world and the importance of Azerbaijan's participation in the aforementioned project in this context is to reveal how the project will affect the economic relations between the two countries.
