Summary/Abstract: Communist anniversaries had always had an important impact on historiography. Numerous works were published and dedicated to celebrated historical events. This was the case for the Romanian Communist Party’s Semicentenary. As well, it was the occasion of publishing its „work of identity” – an official Party history, the Romanian version of “The Short Course”.
