Summary/Abstract: Every project, be it small or large, is always two-sided. The bright side is the one that should provide progress and welfare to the entire community, and generate satisfied developers and architects, as well as jobs and better living conditions. The dark side, the one that always exists, but everyone prefers not to speak about, has a negative impact on the communities and finally causes “wicked problems” like poverty, segregation, increased delinquency, destruction of historical sites, and environmental destruction. The communicative planning is aimed to minimize the undesirable effects and to propose the solutions that ultimately would contribute to the resolution of the “wicked problems” through communication, helping this way all the stakeholders to understand each other. In most of the cases, failures are the direct consequences of the lack of communication. Therefore, in order to maximize their planning efficiency, the architects should develop their skills and become effective communicators, researchers and proficient negotiators. The organization of communicative actions is based on several research components: scanning the current situation and community trends, identifying the values and principles that will be found in the project and will serve as guidelines for the implementation and verification of project results, identifying the opportunities, and selecting the working methods. These should be based on the collective values and expected results, by setting clear expectations and commitments, and monitoring progress considering the factors that were scanned at the beginning. If ignored, the “wicked problems” might eventually lead to the project failure.
