Summary/Abstract: The article you are about to read follows a subjective perspective on the evolution of bookshops in the last two decades, the way they transformed and adapted to serve their purpose, while gaining, or better said conquering, in the process a series of other identities, all in order to survive. Starting from this evolution process I developed my own project focused on a cultural thematic and which would answer to and be in synchronicity with the tendency to associate diverse cultural medium together only to create a single cultural interest point in a certain area. Thus, the media-library I proposed was born. The media-library is also projected as a conceptual knowledge line, each level representing a step towards knowledge, each level illustrating a new way of knowledge: from self-discovery of the world, to discovery through others, up to seeing and understanding the world through art.
