Summary/Abstract: It is obvious for the times in which we find ourselves into that developing interior spaces requires much more than the standard provisions. Once the minimalist concept is slowly but surely fading away and becoming more and more surrounded by elements that favour eclecticism, the practical part of the interior architecture finds itself at a turning point. A large number of customers, especially in our country, take this job upon themselves, because most of the current demonstrations, especially when it comes to organizing houses, are not so impressive anymore. The vision regarding the interior spaces is constantly evolving and changing, and the current vision needs to implement certain methods meant to emphasize man and his emotional ground. These demands of the current interior space were defined by the architect Nigel Coates as follows: “I do not necessarily consider the interior design as a subject matter. I see it as a phenomenon. I call it “atmos”: when something special occurs in an interior frame that is not only functional or stylistic... it needs to communicate something more”. In order to communicate this “something more”, the present interior design requires a concept, a basic idea. Choosing a proper concept according to the demands imposed by the project (what the client wishes, the available space, the selected theme, the available budget and so on) may prove to be a very difficult decision to take. This has to be learned starting college.
