Summary/Abstract: On February 25, there will be the 75th anniversary of the “glorious people” taking power in Czechoslovakia, which actually meant the takeover of the Communists and the Communist Party in February 1948. The victory of the Communists was preceded by three years of political fighting and the subduing of the Democratic Party, which was considered an enemy. First, the study briefly summarizes this sequence of events. Then, it focuses on how certain Czechoslovakian historical events were recorded in history textbooks between 1945 and 1948. In my paper, I examine textbooks from the socialist and post-regime eras.
