Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on Nicolae Ceaușescu's first year as a general secretary of the Romanian Communist Party. The text reveals the importance of the working visits in different Romanian regions over Ceaușescu's image. Based on a photo album from the museum’s patrimony, the article present the role of the working visit that Ceaușescu undertook in the Suceava region in May 1966 with a tremendous role in strengthening Ceaușescu's image and political position towards his party colleagues and in the eyes of the Romanian population. Ceaușescu’s image and political position in the party were strengthened, due to the ongoing visits throughout Romania's regions. His goal was to show himself to the workers, peasants and intellectuals as an open, vigorous and dynamic leader, bringing in valuable knowledge to almost any field.
