Summary/Abstract: This anthology constitutes one of the outputs of a conference of professionals held on the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms by the Czechoslovak Federal Assembly. Editor Jan Kudrna worked with more than twenty texts compiled by elite lawyers who have commented on, evaluated and explained the Charter from the viewpoints of their respective legal specialisations. This intelligently compiled and high standard publication presents the Charter not only as a legal-theoretical phenomenon, but also as a practical document that is important in terms of the functioning of society as a whole. It can be recommended especially to those who are interested in human rights issues and those who have closely followed the political events of recent decades.
