Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the idiosyncrasies related to the activity of actress Lili Poór (1890-1962). By analysing the artist’s self-reflective writings and other types of sources (press, archival, visual and auditory sources), the focus is on the affordances of social relations in Lili Poór’s life. Throughout her half-century-long career, she endorsed changes in acting style and spoken language, which on their turn, have been framed by changes of not only theatrical system, but even more sharply by those of political power.
