Summary/Abstract: The aim of the present article is to bring into attention a few observations regarding the inscriptions in Romanian from the Fedelesoiu mural painting, starting from the iconographic repertoire in the county of Valcea, from Constantin Brâncoveanu‘s time, realized by Corina Popa, Ioana Iancovescu, Elisabeta Negrău, Vlad Bedros. The article points out a few caracteristics of the texts, indicating older sources (from the XVIth century). The Bible 1688 is not yet a source from the contemporary paintings and religious inscriptions.
