Summary/Abstract: Starting from C. Noica’s suggestion that there should be no ontological differences between natural and human sciences, this paper emphasizes Noica’s attempt to find an alternative to the distinction between realism and idealism by giving an ontological redescription of the romantic idea that reality is a creation of human imagination rather than something that can or should be known as it is in itself.
