Summary/Abstract: Both in Romania, as well as in Poland Witold Gombrowicz had a late, but successful debut (1988). Since the release of the first Romanian edition of his Jurnal. Teatru, the writer comes to the attention of the Romanian readers, fascinating, provoking, intriguing. The essay discusses the reception of Witold Gombrowicz’s literary works in Romania based on two different outlooks: a) one represented by professional critics, b) the other one focuses on Gombrowicz being discussed on the Internet literary blogs and forums. Regardless of whether we look at his works as a litterary critic, or as a lover of literature, we can state that Gombrowicz always has something new to offer.
