Summary/Abstract: The religious sciences, rituals and virtues with its meanings are included in the actual ideological confrontations. These meanings are different from the premodern times. The modern fears related to the otherness and hatred include the languages and the symbols of the traditions of modern ideologies. The tradition turns to it opposite meaning, and we are faced with the interpretation of the history as the process of the continued growing of hatred. The key point of the author is: in which way is the Modernity connected to the tradition, in which way emerged the autonomous Self without the need of the transcendental foundation? These questions are linked to the perplexities of the modern and the traditional languages. The author shows the historical example of Bosnia as the paradigmatic experience for the treating of the mentioned questions, because of the fact, that during its history confronted the different Christologies built-in in the traditional horizons, and modern ideological project, too.
