Summary/Abstract: This type of essay present a reasoned argument on a particular issue. I intend to outline some important benefits of scientific knowledge of how Slavic scholars think about the origins of so called Morlachs or Vlachs and how they treated this population within their studies. In conclusion, I believe it is clear that there are huge benefits to be gained from read between the lines of several medieval or modern historic south-Slavic documents. I would even go so far as to say that it should be compulsory for all scholars to rethink more profound these issue, because the benefits that it will bring this type of reinterpretation for nowadays researching in general are too great to be ignored.
