Summary/Abstract: The objective of this article is to analyze and evaluate the performance of Romanian agriculture, using a set of specific indicators having as reference system the EU agriculture. In order to highlight the particularities of agriculture, on the one hand, we carried out a case study on the dynamics of the main indicators of financial performance in Romanian and EU agriculture. On the other hand, we carried out an analysis of the regional performance of the Romanian agriculture, using Data Envelopment Analysis. The data needed for the analysis come from the FADN being for the period 2014-2017. The results of this study represent an important informational support in the decision-making process in the development of the agricultural sector and at the same time it highlights the use of resources in generating results.
