Summary/Abstract: The present paper aims to present an overview of the labor market in Romania, from at least two main points of view. We used data provided by the annual Romanian Statistical Yearbook in order to analyze the evolution of wages in Romania for a timeframe of ten years, as well as to study the evolution of the number of employees in different type of companies, by dimension. The first part of the paper consists in presenting a theoretical background with references to the labor market, while the second part presents the case study on the evolution of representative indicators for the proposed subject.
