Summary/Abstract: In this study, it is aimed to examine the musical elements used in the miniature depictions of the Ottoman period in terms of semiotics. The miniatures in question were evaluated according to Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic understanding in terms of color, figure, gender, object, space and event-fiction. The miniatures examined in the research belong to Abdülcelil Çelebi Levni, the famous muralist of the period, who, under the influence of the cultural environment of the period he lived in, gave a new breath to the understanding of art and described the Ottoman period life with all its reality and mobility in his miniatures. The Turkish music instruments that Levni painted in his miniatures were widely used in the social life of the Ottoman society, as they were frequently used in many areas. In the study, eight miniature scanning models belonging to Abdülcelil Levni were examined and semiotic analyzes were made. In this way, a determination has been made about which Turkish music instruments of the period were used by which group and by whom in the assembly. The research is an original study in this field and is important in terms of contributing to new studies to be done from now on. As a result of the research; It has been seen that the musical element, which is an inseparable part of the entertainment depictions that Levni often works, is placed in the depictions in spatial perception in various compositions such as parades, wrestlers' performances, festivities held outdoors and on the water, giant model shows and war depictions
