Summary/Abstract: One of the last representatives of the classical Turkish music line, Alâeddin Yavaşca, with his sophisticated personality, directed Turkish music with his composing songwriting and teaching skills became one of the last masters of the meşk system. In this research, the lyrics in the composer's works were examined and an ontological analysis was made on the concept of beloved. In the research, the historical method and ontological method were used. Among the works in the universe of the research, in which the composer wrote both the lyrics and the music, ten works with the theme of "beloved" were selected by purposeful sampling method. In these selected works, inferences were made according to the external structure of the ontological method. In the first examined work, the composer mentioned separation, emphasizing that with one tune he reached the hearts of his listeners from the heart to heart, the wound of separation did not heal, if it was closed, there would be no separation, and if there was no separation, love would not occur. In the next line, the composer liken himself to an instrument and states that the lover's heartstring is broken, and the plectrum that turns that broken string into a tune is his beloved. It is thought that this study will contribute to the field of Turkish music composition.
