Summary/Abstract: Lexical Poverty or Polysemy? Remarks over Religious Ter¬minology in Thomas Aquinas’ Romanian Translations. The Romanian religious terminology is, in many cases, ambiguous, which makes extremely difficult the translation of medieval philosophical and theological works. This situation can also be encountered when translating from an ancient language into another and, partially, into other modern languages. The lack of terminology is often due to the lack of its specialisation. The present article reviews certain current problems of translating Thomas Aquinas’ texts and furthers some solutions, leaving room to some open questions as well.
