Summary/Abstract: From my point of view, the answer to this question is logical an affirmative one, because if it was not, this question would not have been asked in the first place. Before answering ourselves properly to this question, let’s travel back into the past when the term of globalization was only a dream and the freedom and rights were limited. What was the purpose of human beings back then and not only back then, but even nowadays? Julius Thomas Fraser has a concept and tells us that “in a person, its purpose is to assure the continuity of its selfhood”. In other terms, the main goal of an individual is to leave something behind which will mark him or her existence. In most cases, this task is fulfilled by giving birth to children and setting them for life giving a proper education. Some might argue that governments should seek to remain neutral in matters of personal behavior and morality, enforcing neither a liberal humanist view of human rights or positions derived from particular religious or cultural backgrounds. Actually this matter is highly confusing because it makes us put ourselves the questions: “Do we know what is good for ourselves, or not? Do we need a government to impose laws regarding our personal behavior for our own good?” A positive answer will not do anything except make us jump to the conclusion that we would came to the point where we started and deny our freedom.
