Summary/Abstract: Organized between August 26-27, 1964, in Timiș, the Sino-Romanian talks represented a major step in the direction of achieving a rapprochement between Beijing and Bucharest. The Romanian authorities, taking advantage of the 20th anniversary of the „liberation of the homeland”, will hold secret talks with Li Xiannian, a member of the CCP CC.
