Cultural Paradigms In The Romanian Lands In The XVI-XVII Centuries

Summary/Abstract: This paper offers a brief analytical look at some of the most visible (from a historiographical point of view) cultural models in the space of the Romanian Lands in the XVI-XVII centuries. The perspective is indirect, filtered through the debates of the post-war Romanian historiography, among others, presenting the debate regarding the existence or non-existence of a Romanian Renaissance; also, presenting different paradigmatic outlines regarding the framing in conceptual-ideational areas such as “humanism”, “baroque”, “classicism”, “pre-Enlightenment”, etc.
