Summary/Abstract: There is a necessity for creating the juvenile criminalistics, as a particular discipline, to deal with determining personal characteristics of juvenile delinquents and essential features of their delicts - in order to assist prosecution agencies in discovering offences classified under juvenile delinquency. In relation to the above, biological and social aspects of youthful age are reviewed, together with the origin of development of personality beginning with the pre-school age, through the period of latency and up to puberty and adolescence. Finally, the need is emphasized of studying the personality of adolescent as one of the principal factors of juvenile delinquency. These studies have been until now rather neglected in criminalistic literature.
