Summary/Abstract: The article is an evocation of academician Basarab Nicolescu, on his 80th birthday. He was an illustrious professor at Babeş-Bolyai University and an honorary citizen of Cluj. He initiated the school of transdisciplinarity at the University of Cluj. This will help young people to head for complete knowledge. He is also the initiator of the Association for the Dialogue between Science and Theology in Romania.
