Summary/Abstract: The present text evokes the personality of the actor Cornel Nicoară from the Youth Theater in Piatra-Neamţ, for a long time director of this institution, and the cultural atmosphere in this theater during the communist regime. Cornel Nicoară was a wonderful man with all his wonderful flaws, haloed by the endless power of love. Born in Câmpia Turzii, he had arrived through assignment when he was 27 years old and left only when he moved to heaven, the day after he turned 83 years old. His life became one with the life of the Youth Theater in Piatra Neamţ. Cornel Nicoară, before being an actor, before being a director or a “boss”, as some called him, he loved not only several actors withwhom he crossed paths, but 60 years of actors who infused the legend called the Youth Theater in Piatra Neamţ with a part of their souls and youth. Cornel Nicoară played many and diverse characters, reviewed by theater people, chronicles and archives. In the end he played, sort of a payment and rewarding, Stephen the Great and King Lear. But beyond the multitude of characters and victories, Cornel Nicoară was a MAN until the last breath.
