Summary/Abstract: The Metropolitan Bartolomeu of Cluj, an interpreter in spirit and letter of God`s Word, depicted for us the Heavens of Orthodoxy, which means that he unraveled the mysteries of Orthodox spirituality. In this demarche for revealing the mysteries of Orthodoxy, his monumental work, The Heavens of the Olt: Archimandrite Bartholomew’s Scholia to a Series of Photographs, is also included. Beyond the aesthetic beauty of the ecclesial space and the icons, in the Heavens of the Olt, Bartolomeu Anania reveals to the reader the Beauty Beyond that is reflected in them, not so much as a radiant reflection, but as an inner bond of grace. The spirituality of The Heavens of the Olt is, in fact, a philocalic spirituality.
