Summary/Abstract: Characteristic of the introduction of a language, corresponding to the communicative situation, was that the Brashov Philological Society scholars faced the decision on a language formation that would meet the new needs during the 1820s. The specific symbiosis between the traditional (but archaic) and the spoken (but highly variable in terms of dialects) language was not performed without certain standard‐language doctrines. One of them is examined in the article, more precisely the pluralism of ideas.
