Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the economic efficiency of innovative development in the industry. The ultimate goal of innovation and production activities is to increase the competitiveness of a manufacturing enterprise in the relevant market segment by increasing labour productivity and improving product quality. In the study, the author conducts a comparative analysis of the other sectors of the economies of developed countries. It is noted that to assess the effectiveness of innovative projects in industries, first of all, it is necessary to calculate the cost of innovation and the costs incurred.
