Summary/Abstract: This article aims to explain the concept of the «Chinese dream», to relate it to other concepts, to find its roots and to determine its meanings. Methodologically, the article proceeds to explore the primary sources – President Xi’s speeches – as well as some explanatory notes on them. The rich literature analyzing the intricate concept confirms that the Chinese also dream... And while their springs are distinct from those of Americans, their dreams intersect and ultimately aspire to global fulfilment.
