Summary/Abstract: In the article there is spoken about a middle Bulgarian manuscript kept in the library of St. Synod of the Romanian Orthodox church (SB II 280), whose the main content comprises of the text of the Scala Paradisi of Johannes Klimakos. The author archaeographically describes the manuscript, reveals the content. The textual analysis of Slavic manuscripts allowed to reveal genetically close Bulgarian SB II 280 manuscripts, kept in Zografmonastery (Зогр. 214, Зогр. 178), Vienna (Австр. 50), Moscow (МДА 152) and St. Petersburg (Пог. 1052). These manuscripts enter one textual group, it means, they can’t be studied in isolation from each other. SB II as one of the ancientest Slavic masnuscripts that kept the text of Scala Paradisi in the whole size needs thorough linguistic research in comparison with the texts of named manuscripts.
