Summary/Abstract: Air traffic operates on the basis of a number of international regulations, ordinances, intended to unify legal regulations and rules of conduct and procedures. For that reason, the European Commission is acting in this area with the aim of unification through its regulations. One of such regulations regarding flight control service providers is the CIR Regulation (EU) 2020/469 - ATS.OR.460 Background communication and aural environment recording. This regulation is quite specific and is considered sensitive from a privacy perspective. The analysis of this regulation, i.e. its advantages and disadvantages, as well as the implementation method are the topic of the paper.
