Summary/Abstract: Postindustrial stadium of modern economy development characterize transition from model of standard full time employment to system of partial and temporary emloyment. For o lot of people this development of world of work and employment means a lot of insecurity in every part of their lifes. Adults with basic education are permanently threatened with unemployment, because high school education is minimal requirement to enter this flexible and unstable world of work and employment. This paper analysed possibilities and institucional barriers of participation of adults with basic education, employed, unemployed and in imprisonment, in second chance education in conditions of Slovak republic.
