Summary/Abstract: The first wooden waterworks in Wadowice was built at the end of the 19th century and operated by gravity. The water intake was a well made in the upper part of the city and it supplied water only to a few buildings of wealthy owners. The rest of the inhabitants took water from various streams, ponds and wells. In the 1920s, the city board began building waterworks, commissioning, inter alia, project by Eng. Włodzimierz Dziakiewicz. Ultimately, the investments were put into operation in 1934.
