Summary/Abstract: Contains contributions and debates by different scholars about controverted thesis, new directions in research and other problems. This issue contains two contributions. The first bears the title "Under which historical circumstances did the Romanians become the majority on the soil of their present-day state? Conclusions of a small conference", written by 11 scholars from different countries. It discusses the place of the romanian ethnogenesis and tries to answer the question whether the romanian presence north of the Danube is due to migration or a result of a continuous presence of a romanised population in the area. The second contribution by Mariana Hausleitner discusses new publications on the history of jews in Greater Romania.
