Summary/Abstract: Interpersonal communication in Marin Preda's rural world are not fluid, present gaps and are subject to interpretation. The use of nicknames, curses, appellatives in the frequent exchange of dialogue intensifies the expressiveness of Preda's rural language. Despite contained agressiveness, the language manage to stay away from triviality, prudery remaining a basic characteristic of language for Preda's peasants.
