Summary/Abstract: The article is aimed at discussing the benefits and disadvantages brought to the learner by an approach to education which has become the norm nowadays – one revolving around technology and seeking the new in everything from teaching methods to content and delivery of the course. The all-encompassing, pervasive technological mindset we encounter in academic as well as business environments seems to have little doubt as to the validity of the pursuit of what we termed a technology-centered approach to learning. The current paper‟s goal is to present, as objectively as possible, the advantages and drawbacks of such an approach, as well as the possible consequences that might ensue for future generations of learners.
